CLC Meetings |

 Our Church
Leadership Council (CLC) is responsible for
guiding, directing, and governing MPUMC. It
meets on a regular basis (typically monthly) to
plan for and status our
initiatives and approve
policies.

March 2007 Meeting Minutes |
|
The MPUMC Church Leadership
Council met March 12, 2007. We celebrated our
great 85th Anniversary event and discussed steps
we can take going forward to better preserve our
history between now and our next celebration.
Other celebrations included:
-
Missions – Recent mission
trip to Mississippi, plans for the next
Habitat House, FISH opportunities and our
support for our brothers and sisters in
Sudan
-
Children – Plans for Vacation
Bible School
-
Youth – 15 confirmands
scheduled to be confirmed in late April,
monthly Breakfast of Champions where youth
gather for Breakfast to fellowship and
listen to speakers, participation in the
Good Friday service and upcoming mission
trips
-
UMW – in process of selling
their awesome Easter Eggs as well as
continuing in their ongoing activities to
support numerous missions; UMW also helped
with 85th Anniversary reception
-
Health Ministries Team –
still in development stages and currently
soliciting suggestions and feedback from
congregation
-
Other – CEP raised $3000 in
recent clothing sale; 6 young men expected
to become Eagle Scouts in 2007; boys’,
girls’ and men’s basketball teams and games
honored as a vital ministry in our community
We also received reports from
Trustees and Finance committees, both of whom
have been very active in supporting MPUMC in the
exploration and presentation of the proposed
property purchase. Trustees has scheduled a
Spring Work Day for March 31 and Finance is in
process of completing an internal audit as
required by the United Methodist Church.
All church members are welcome to
attend the CLC meetings. Please pray for our
pastors, staff, leaders and all who serve Christ
at MPUMC.
