Led by the Holy Spirit, we will transform lives, our community, and the world. To be and make disciples for Jesus Christ. To fulfill our mission, we will invite persons into the Body of Christ, nurture them in community, equip them as his disciples, and send them out in ministry to the world. At the corner, where faith and life meet.
In the fall of 2004, our Church Leadership Council established a Visioning Team. Their role was to lead our congregation toward discerning God´s vision for our future as his people at Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church. In the Spring and Summer of 2005, that Team sought input from the congregation on where they believed God was leading us. Everyone was asked to be in prayer during this time of discernment. Bible passages that focus on God´s mission were studied. The Team took those responses, along with their own study and discussions with various leaders, and fashioned Vision, Mission, Identity, and Value Statements.
