SERVE
MIDDLEBROOK PIKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
MISSIONS
Go into the world and make disciples of all people.”
(Matthew 28:18).
Fulfilling this commission comes in a variety of manners and ways in serving our Lord.
We encourage everyone to “get involved” in some form of ministry in the life of the church. It could be serving in our FISH food pantry where non-perishable food supplies are given to over 200 families per month. Or it could be volunteering to work with children, youth, or older adults.
FISH Food pantry
Our FISH Pantry provides groceries to those in need in our community. Monthly our volunteers collect, pack and distribute food to the homeless and hungry.
Crop Drop
In October of 2025 we received approx. 34,000 pounds of sweet potatoes. Almost 100 MPUMC volunteers of all ages came to bag, stage and distribute 3700 bags of sweet potatoes to 35 agencies in the East TN area. In addition to blessing many hungry folks in our area, we hope all those who participated met someone new and shared stories while working together to complete this tremendous task. Great teamwork MPUMC!
Blessing Box
A community mission of MPUMC to feed those in need.
Offering at the Altar
Several times a year we collect and fill bags with food and give as an offering on Sunday. Donations are used to fill the Blessing Box, a community mission to feed those in need.
CareCuts
MPUMC works in partnership with CareCuts to raise items and money in support of their mission. www.carecutsknox.org
Hands-On Mission Project
The Tennessee Valley District of the Holston Conference was asked to put together 500 Food Buckets for the 2025 Holston Annual Conference Hands-On Mission Project. In May 2025 MPUMC collected and donated 73 buckets.
Angel Tree
Share the love of the Christmas season with families in need. Our Angel Trees are filled with gift tags for families in need in our community.
